Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A Dragon Ball Z fan who enjoys collecting and opening blind boxes
Best occasion : Christmas, a birthday
Why it works : Twelve sealed boxes mean twelve small unwrappings to share, and every plushie flips inside out into another one. Six characters are in the collection, with no promise that a set of twelve covers them all. Rated 4.6 across more than 1,800 reviews, at about $105.
Avoid if : He or she wants one specific character, since the contents are random. At about $105 it is also a large spend for 3-inch plushies.
