Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A young Pokémon fan who already knows Pikachu and would like the next evolution as a plush.
Best occasion : A Christmas stocking, a birthday or an Easter basket, three moments the listing names.
Why it works : At 12 inches it is big enough to hug but easy to wrap, and Raichu is a step beyond the Pikachu most fans already own. With 4.8 across 3,800+ reviews at about $23, it is a low-risk pick for a child who likes Pokémon.
Avoid if : The child wants cards or display figures instead of a soft toy, or may already own this one: the same 12-inch line covers other Pokémon, so check which ones they have.
