Why it makes a good gift
Best for : Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas who already own a 4th or 5th generation Echo Dot
Best occasion : Halloween, Christmas, a gift for a Tim Burton fan
Why it works : It gives a speaker that most people leave on a shelf a character, and the film it comes from is the rare one that fits both Halloween and Christmas, so the gift works in either season. A 4.8 rating from more than 2,300 reviews and a limited-edition label from the listing add to the collector appeal.
Avoid if : The person does not own an Echo Dot 4th or 5th generation: the Echo Dot is not included and the shell fits no other Echo device. It is listed for ages 13 and up.
