Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A woman who takes off her rings at the same spot every night and never has a dish for them.
Best occasion : Christmas stocking or a birthday, for a wife, a sister or a close friend.
Why it works : Her initial in gold leaf turns a small dish into something that feels chosen for her, and it ends the hunt for her rings on the nightstand; it is the most personal item here for under $20.
Avoid if : You are not sure which initial she would want (maiden or married name).
