Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A PlayStation 5 owner who likes superhero stories and swinging through an open city.
Best occasion : Christmas, a birthday.
Why it works : Two playable heroes mean two sets of powers in one case, and the story pits Peter and Miles against Venom. Web Wings and quick character switching, both named in the listing, give the swinging more to do. Rated 4.8 across nearly 1,600 reviews at about $52, it suits someone who already owns the console.
Avoid if : The recipient has no PS5 or already owns the game. The listing gives no age rating, so check the ESRB label on the product page before giving it to a younger player.
