Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A Star Wars fan, teen or adult, who likes prequel characters and enjoys building and displaying LEGO sets
Best occasion : Christmas or a milestone birthday, as the one big present for a Star Wars collector
Why it works : A Battle Droid with its STAP is a recognizable prequel character that few people would think to buy for themselves, which makes it a considered pick for a long-time Star Wars fan. A 4.8 rating across about 450 reviews supports the price, which at about $140 puts it in main-gift territory.
Avoid if : The recipient mostly likes the original trilogy, or your budget is under about $100: at $139.99 it is a big-ticket set, and the piece count and recommended age are not in our data, so check the listing.
