Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A young Star Wars fan who would rather stage a battle with a whole squad than assemble one large display model.
Best occasion : Christmas or a birthday for a child who already follows Star Wars.
Why it works : The box is about the squad: four Clone Trooper minifigures plus three more characters, a walker to command and a stud shooter, so a battle is ready as soon as the build is done. At about $36 it is a mid-priced way into the Star Wars range, and more than 1,100 buyers rate it 4.7.
Avoid if : The recipient prefers a single big display model, or already owns plenty of Clone Troopers. The age range is not in our data, and the set has small parts, so read the listing before wrapping it for a younger child.
