The Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic Starter Set, 11 x 18 ml
✓ Product data checked October 19, 2026
This boxed set comes with a starter brush and a miniature figure to paint, along with the paints, so a beginner needs nothing else to start. The listing describes high-quality acrylics with strong coverage and intense pigment, arranged in a colour triad system: each family holds six shades running from dark to light with a consistent hue, which makes a natural progression easy on a miniature. It pitches the kit at beginners, gamers and experienced painters alike. Rated 4.9 across 1,101 reviews, about $40 on Amazon US.
Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A tabletop gamer who wants to start painting their own miniatures and has not bought paints yet.
Best occasion : A birthday or Christmas, as a hobby starter.
Why it works : The kit puts the brush, a figure and eleven paints in one box, so the recipient can paint the moment it is unwrapped. The colour triad system arranges each family from dark to light, which explains why the listing calls it easy for a beginner, and a 4.9 rating across more than 1,100 reviews backs that up.
Avoid if : The recipient already owns a large paint collection or does not play tabletop games: eleven pots is a small starting palette.
